MuniAuction, Inc. Web Programmer
The first professional website I worked on was MuniAuction. Programming in Perl, I help created an auction-monitoring tool that allowed administrators to see real-time bidding during the auction. I found this project to be professionally rewarding; my team had the opportunity to demonstrate the website’s capabilities to the mayor of Pittsburgh. The mayor, after witnessing the site’s capabilities, selected MuniAuction to host the first online municipal bond auction ever. The aggregate amount of municipal bonds issued through the MuniAuction website is now over $12 trillion, since its first auction in November of 1997 with over 162,000 auctions conducted online since then. – http://www.muniauction.com/
